The Cyber Resilience Centre for the East Midlands has established an Advisory Group featuring a range of industry professions from all backgrounds to help support the growth of the centre.
As members of the East Midlands cyber community, our Advisory Group Members provide guidance, advice and influence the direction of the centre.

Heather is the Cyber Security Lead for Derbyshire County Council’s Education Data Hub. She has worked in IT and Information Governance for 24 years, supporting educational settings across England with Cyber Security, Data Protection and Data Management.
Heather is proud to be working on projects with the National Cyber Security Centre, DfE and Safer Derbyshire which will help to secure settings and promote online safety and digital safeguarding in today’s connected world.
Heather is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), IEEE and CiSP member, 360Safe Assessor and Cyber Essentials Assessor.

MICHAEL JOHNSON MBE
THE FEDERATION OF SMALL BUSINESSES
Mike represents the Federation of Small Businesses for the East Midlands, holding both local and regional office. He is currently the FSB’s elected Area Leader for Lincolnshire and Chair of the Lincolnshire Cyber Security Forum, a collaborative group that works together to reduce cyber-crime within the East Midlands. The forum brings together local businesses, the police and industry experts to discuss, collaborate and educate on the key cyber security issues facing the region and beyond.
In 2013 Mike was awarded an (MBE) for his work and commitment to education, training, skills, and his dedication to Apprenticeships.
Mike has over 35 years’ experience in Commercial Leadership and Management focusing on Business-to-Business growth, he is passionate about leading and enabling small businesses to be safer, more efficient, and resilient in today’s digital environments. His varied experience in business development, community engagement, networking, and policy lobbying equips him to address a wide range of issues and situations from both practical and operational standpoints.

EAST MIDLANDS CHAMBER
Chris is Director of Policy and External Affairs at East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire), leading the information and representation teams, with responsibility for all work areas relating to the development of Chamber policy and lobbying activity.
He has a background working in policy in both the private and public sectors, at local, regional and national levels with a range of stakeholders and building effective partnerships.
PHILIP BROOKS-STEPHENSON, CL, FCMI
Philip is a natural connector of people and organisations and brings an extensive and influential network of contacts from those in Public Life right through to budding entrepreneurs and local leaders, built up from over 20 years in leadership roles in the private, public and third sectors.
Philip has always been an active volunteer in the community and was one of the youngest elected Borough Councillors in the country and at just 23. He's been a School Governor, a Nottingham Ambassador and has undertaken numerous Non-Executive and Trustee roles, currently serving as Chair of Backlit in Nottingham an international arts organisation and former Chairman of the Royal Society of St. George in Nottinghamshire, of which Her Majesty The Queen is Patron.
Philip’s career has centred in development in the third and public sectors, which he then set-up as a Consultant in 2013, going onto co-found multi globally/nationally award winning KuKu Connect in 2016, which is now one of the key networking organisations in the Midlands and wider UK, which in 2020 was the first UK business to be awarded the Best Business Award for ‘Outstanding Support during COVID-19, amongst a ‘roll call’ of other awards for innovation, events and community impact.
Philip was the winner of the Global Business Excellence Award for Outstanding Personal Achievement for 2021 and The Best Business Award for Outstanding Non-Executive Director for 2021. Philip was also recently invested as a Companion of the Order of the Fleur De Lys (CL), which is an international order of chivalry, headed up by Grand-Patron HRH Princess Elizabeth of Serbia. Philip has devoted his time to supporting thousands of organisations through the pandemic, which he has gained hero status by the local East Midlands business community and was one of the first Advisory Board members to join the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre.
Darren Chapman is the Owner/Director and Principal Security Consultant of CyberScale Ltd.
Darren has been working in the IT industry for over 20 years. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), an ISO27001 Lead Auditor and co-founder and director of the Norfolk & Suffolk Cyber Security Cluster.
NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY
Pri has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, with 12 of those years focused on leading, designing and implementing comprehensive organisation wide security programs and transformation projects. He also has a successful track record of achieving and maintaining security certifications for businesses across numerous sectors.
As a pragmatic security leader, his key personal aim is ensuring that the benefits and aspirations of enhanced cyber security be clearly understood at all levels of the organisation, not just at board level.
Pri is a firm believer that robust security protection can be achieved whilst maximising budgetary efficiencies, and that fostering an organisation wide ethos of good security practices and improved cyber awareness can continually drive innovation and growth.
Tracy has over 35 years’ experience working in tech and has successfully implemented business systems and training programmes across many different industries from service and professional sectors through to retail, education and manufacturing.
An active member of the global tech trade association CompTIA, Tracy is a member of the Education Faculty delivering training, webinars and talks for CompTIA members around the world. In 2015 Tracy joined the CompTIA Board of Directors, after previously being part of the UK Executive Council, and was voted Community Member of the Year in 2019. CompTIA is a global not for profit trade association with annual revenues around $80 million.
She founded Maximity, an IT training and consulting business specializing in end user education and awareness, in 2000 and co-founded Prizm Solutions, an insurance brokerage, with her husband in 2006.
Tracy is a member of the Chartered Management Institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Consulting, a PRINCE 2 practitioner and a member of the FSB and Chamber of Commerce.
Tim Harwood is a veteran of the security world and has been providing information security guidance and expertise to Corporate clients, the UK Government and the UK military for over 30 years. As Managing Director of Harwood Security and Training Consultancy, he provides direction for the company which he founded in 2013.
Tim’s professional background includes security capability strategy planning and development, information security capability framework design and implementation and security awareness strategy design and implementation. He has developed a security professional development framework for a global top ten oil and gas company, delivered training as a member of the SANS and Firebrand faculties and, as a thought leader, regularly presents at summits and conferences. In 2013, he participated as a Subject Matter Expert for the design of new certifications and training courses e.g. the GICSP certification and, as a result, now teaches the GICSP course for QA training company. In addition, he is an Assessor and Interviewer for the CIISec for potential new members.
Tim is a Full member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (M Inst ISP), a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and is the holder of the GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC).

Prizm Solutions was formed in November 2006 when Peter Robinson (& Tracy Pound) saw an opportunity to radically change the way insurance is transacted. They formed Prizm Solutions to provide a high value, low cost, ethical & professional approach to handling commercial insurance. They now have 13 staff & turnover £5 Million per annum primarily looking after SME, micro & corporate businesses. Amongst their specialities is Cyber Insurance and in 2019 they were shortlisted for UK Cyber Insurance Broker of the Year. They’ve also won numerous other awards including West Midlands Insurance Brokers of the Year in 2017, UK Community Insurance Brokers of the Year 2017 & UK Regional Insurance Broker of the Year 2018.
