Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team become a Friend of the Centre

We’re delighted to welcome Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team as the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre's latest Friend of the Centre.

Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team (LVET) is a membership organisation, made up of over 150 Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations of all sizes, and who are all involved in health, care, or wellbeing.

LVET provides a strategic voice for Health and Care VCFSE groups and has four key priorities:

  • To advocate for our members

  • To build resilience

  • To connect

  • To communicate and to demonstrate the impact and value of the VCFSE in Lincolnshire

A representative from LVET said of the appointment:

“Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team are thrilled to be a Friend of the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre. The opportunity to connect our members to an advice service which can help businesses keep their systems safe and to inform and educate is paramount to what we stand for.
We are really pleased that, within just a few weeks of becoming a Friend of the Centre, several of our members have also joined and have had brilliant conversations with Business Engagement Manager Andy Maddison to connect, engage and benefit from the support that EMCRC can offer.”

Andy Maddison, Business Engagement Manager for the EMCRC, welcomes LVET onboard as a Friend of the Centre as their reach to their own membership will further raise cyber security awareness across the region.

LVET are actively encouraging their members to join our community to get the full range of benefits that membership brings. Andy says:

“LVET have embraced the importance of cyber security and have actively engaged with their members to ensure that they are protected. In partnership with the EMCRC, we can offer free advice, free help, government approved guidance as well as access to affordable services”.

Colin Ellis, Managing Director and Police Delivery Lead at the EMCRC, added:

“These partnerships with key regional stakeholders are so important as we look to protect organisations across the East Midlands. It’s great that the CRC here in the East Midlands has staff like Andy, who brings with him experience from outside of policing, of the business and third sector community. This helps introduce organisations such as LVET to the CRC and explain the value of what we do to their members in a language that resonates with them.”

Friends of the Centre are membership organsiations who want to help their members and community build their cyber resilience.

Our Friends organisations actively ask their members to join the EMCRC as they recognise that cyber resilience is an essential in today's digital world.

LVET are another great addition to the EMCRC's Friends group, and it shows our ambition as a Centre that we wish to partner with outstanding businesses and organisations.

But our ambition doesn’t end there. We’re seeking the support of other distinguished businesses and motivational business leaders by joining us, not just as Friends of the Centre but also as Community Ambassadors, Community Members or Board members. We now have the scope for businesses to join us on various levels of affiliation.

If you would like to support our work and join our community, or feel you can bring equal skill, vision and ingenuity to the Centre in other areas, then please contact us via our website or contact Colin Ellis via his LinkedIn account.
