The EMCRC Advisory Group welcomes Amy O'Sullivan, Senior Project Officer at Lincolnshire County Council and Coordinator of the Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence and Security Cluster (GLRDSC).

The EMCRC Advisory Group provides key tactical advice to the CRC from a business and third sector perspective.
The Group plays a critical role in enhancing the CRC’s impact on strengthening regional cyber resilience and developing robust strategies that promote collaborative efforts across sectors to address current and future cyber threats.
The latest addition to the group, Amy O'Sullivan, is the lead of operations at the Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence and Security Cluster (GLRDSC) and spearheads efforts to position the region as a national hub for defence, security, and aerospace innovation.
She works closely with industry, academia, and government to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and create commercial opportunities for local businesses. Her focus is on building a strong peer-to-peer network that supports knowledge sharing and capability development across the cluster.
Alongside her cluster leadership, Amy champions the business community through various veteran networks and plays an active role in strategy development for the defence and security sector across Greater Lincolnshire.
Through these initiatives, Amy aims to enhance regional economic resilience and promote Lincolnshire’s leadership in the UK’s defence and security landscape.
Upon her appointment to the EMCRC's Advisory Group, Detective Inspector Colin Ellis, Managing Director and Police Lead of the EMCRC, said:
"I am delighted that Amy has kindly volunteered to join our Advisory Group. Amy’s day to day activities and mission dovetail with our own. She is acutely aware that cyber resilience is key to all businesses across all sectors, but particularly important for those involved in the defence sector supply chain. Amy’s links to the GLRDSC and Lincolnshire County Council mean she brings real sector expertise, not just in relation to defence, but also wider business and local government operations."
Amy commented on her new role:
“‘Joining the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre Advisory Group is an exciting opportunity to strengthen collaboration between regional businesses and the wider security community. Cyber security is no longer a niche concern, it’s a fundamental part of business resilience. Every organisation, regardless of size or sector, faces evolving threats that can disrupt operations and damage trust. "In my role leading operations for the Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence & Security Cluster, I see first-hand how critical it is for businesses to have access to trusted advice and practical solutions. By working with the EMCRC, I hope to help bridge the gap between law enforcement, industry, and local enterprises, ensuring that support is accessible and actionable. Together, we can create a safer digital environment that enables growth and innovation across the East Midlands.”
Amy is another great addition to the EMCRC's Advisory Group, and it shows our ambition as a Centre to work with key stakeholders to address the challenges that our region’s cyber resilience poses.
If you would like to support our endeavours, then please recommend our community membership to organisations.
If you feel you can help the Centre from a strategic point of view, then please contact us via our website or contact Colin Ellis via his LinkedIn account.
